EDUCATION ADMINISTRATION

By day I work in Education Administration for a small school district in Southern California. I have devoted my career to making a quality education the cornerstone of a vibrant, culturally and linguistically diverse community. I have served as a teacher, therapist, program manger, administrator, director, assistant superintendent and now superintendent. Each role has allowed me to shape and influence the educational environment and create public education opportunities that serve as the vital foundation of our democracy. 

 

LINGUISTICS/ANTHROPOLOGY/HISTORY/HUMANITIES

I have long had a fascination with what makes humans....human. I have explored language, culture, anthropology, religion and history.  My readings, courses of study, degrees, travel explorations and countless conversations revolve around  aspects of HUMANITY and the countless sources of inspiration and wisdom that we have on this planet. There is inspiration everywhere and stories to be heard and told.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY

Exploration via photography allows me to delve deeper into the visual arts and to challenge myself to take time to BE with world around me and capture images that can inspire further exploration and contemplation.

 

EARTH EXPLORATIONS

So far I have explored ... 67 Countries  ~   6 Continents  =  Countless Possibilities! 

 

I enjoy exploring our world from trekking, hiking, spelunking, cycling, canyoneering, abseiling, kayaking, sailing, rafting, BEing.

 

I take every opportunity to travel from my amazing home state of California to countries far and wide.
