Otavalo, Ecuador

Otavalo is both an ethnic group and a city in Northern Ecuador.

​

The city is surrounded by three volcanoes and it located at just over 8,000 feet in elevation. 

​

The Otavalo speak Kichwa or Quechua as well as Spanish. 

​

Otavalo is a market town known for textiles and COLORS!

​

We shopped the market first. 

​

then spent time just experiencing the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Otavalo.
