A short 3 day exploration of this vibrant Asian city en route to Cambodia. Taiwan is an interesting mix of Chinese, Japanese and Austroasian Native cultures. Taiwan was a province of Japan for over a hundred years. When the communists took over mainland China the republic of China moved to the island of Taiwan. The two are just 100 miles apart via the the narrow straits of Taiwan!
